was snoozing away on wednesday morning when my phone rang. one look said that it was ken who was calling. my first thought when i saw that it was him was "aiyah him ah, sure ask me go breakfast wan" and i was right :)
he picked me up from my house and we went to have chapfan at the market at ss15, which serves the BEST, CHEAPEST chapfan ever. period. and there's so much variety too! caught up with him lots over sweet n sour chicken, shredded cabbage and shiut cha :) filled each other in on our lives during the blanks which we hadnt seen each other.
no pics though, cos in my rush to leave the house, i left my camera at home. :(
was supposed to meet up with the bestie after that at pyramid, so i just asked him to drop me home and id take a bus out after, but he said it was no biggie and sent me home to get changed, and fetched me out all the way to pyramid again.
havent caught up with the bestie in a long, loooong while

yay so happy to see her again :)
walked around lots and did what we ALWAYS do at pyramid, windowshop! cotton on, forever21, kitschen,  nichii.
why is it that cotton on is so empty and has such not-so-nice clothes now?
saw this guess the number thingymajingy, where you guess the number of items in 3jars.
dice, apples and umbrellas :)
closest guess gets a nikon DSLR baby!
bestie is all up for it!
trying her best to have a look from all angles
me just chilling like icecream filling being lame LOL ok not funny
like my dress? i got it less than rm27! :D major bargain. :)
and in case you didnt notice, im actually wearing makeup. its very light but still. :) first time wearing makeup ever! yes im a late bloomer lol. never bothered before cos makeup costs kachings, plus ive always thought its sucha hassle to spend so much time over something when i could use that precious time to do something much better, like sleep longer haha.
but my mum's been pushing me to wear makeup a lot lately. something about embracing feminity and all that jazz. so i actually made the effort to learn, by watching only a few hundred videos on youtube. well i actually think its not that bad now that ive got the hang of it, compared to in the past where id end up crying as a result of stabbing myself in the eye with the eyeliner. :)
this maxi is really nice! was gonna get it, when upon closer observation noticed that it was COMPLETELY TRANSPARENT under bright lighting. like omg i guess it'd be sexay if i had a hot bod, but nah i dont. plus i think it might come off as a slutty. so put it right back on the rack.
might be going out to watch inception with ken and gang tomorrow.
finally! after hearing everyone rave about how awesome it is!
please oh please let the plan for tomorrow work out. :)

so last sunday it was baby aaron's birthday at my church!
complete with a strawberry icecream cake :)

of a last minute hurriedly made up plan, us girls decided to go to the curve just for the meatballs at ikea after that!

moi here was really looking forward to it in anticipation, i've never tried the meatballs there before! because yes i've been living under a rock for the last 17years. :)

the queue was mad long! seriously it took us like nearly an hour before we were able to place our orders.

daim's cake. looks good! didnt get it though

finally, we grabbed a table and were able to plonk our plates down and dig in!

but then...

"WAIT don't anyone start eating i gotta take pics first!" i yelled.
haha :D

seriously there was a mountain of fries O.O but i didnt touch them kay. being a good girl trying to stick to my carb free diet here. the meatballs were ok i guess, better than the average ones you get in msia. but still nothing beats the meatballs my aunt made in aussie!!

OMG friggin HUGE and JUICY
drooling just looking at this pic

we had chicken wings too!

denise, lesley, rachel, crystal and i sans weiwen the photographer
happy gluttons who eat

and eat

and eat.
nom nom nom. :D

we went to ikea after that to look at furniture cos we're boring like that haha

my friend once said " you know you're becoming a boring grownup when you start shopping for furniture"

peekchures peekchures

camwhoring in a bathroom wth haha

my attempt to get all of us in the picture in this tiny bathroom mirror ; fail

lesley's turn ; much better!

trash heads

if you look properly, denise, lesley and rachel are all wearing the same dress, isnt that cute? X)

was looking back at what i've done this year, and i stumbled across this picture from when i was in queensland.
this pic was taken at the brisbane botanical gardens.
i miss lishan! and uncle jon and daniel and auntie suileng and rebecca and alex!!

and i miss their two adorable cuddly cats zeus and amigo! im hit by a sudden longing to go back to aussie. airasia promo where are you?
haha :)

so anyway this is a random post full of nonsense. please leave now if you seek to be deeply enlightened, which in this case, you will be sorely led in the opposite direction by some random girl's overactive flightly imagination.

still there, are we? :)
so anyway, a random article that i read today said that girls actually look 23% better than what they actually estimate themselves to be!

aights, so i was hopping around looking at people's blogs, when i came across this girl's profile.

she's some chick who's had a drastic plastic job,and she's from china i think, cos the whole page was in mandarin, even the ads.

so yeah, i think she's not bad! actually kinda cute, with her original looks before going plastic! well not smoulderingly gorgeous, but certainly not bad enough to require going under the knife.

after she underwent the surgery gawsh O.O

what some women are willing to suffer to be beautiful

swelling all gone down, bandages removed. when i saw this i was like gosh, you paid all your money to look like this? you've been seriously ripped off.

and then i saw the final outcome
like O.M.G.
seriously i dropped my jaw on the floor. thats her on the left btw.

goodness plastic surgery really transformed her, this is stunningly mad gorgeous!

all curious, i googled how much it would cost to get a whole face done with the works, nosejob, eyejob, etcetc. and it cost like more than RM30k for everything O.O

but yeah i see why people would want to pay more than triple the annual income of a worker in some third world country to get done by a good plastic surgeon, its cos they make you look mad smokin HAWT!!

might be a bit controversial to say this, but i wouldnt mind going plastic myself if it means looking as beautiful as that! and getting lipoed too! muahaha!

me with the sweetest mostest adorablest thing in the world :)
im a little behind with this post, but better late than never.

so last sunday i joined Jog For Hope by Taylors College.

to be honest, the event was really kinda a letdown. i mean, they charged us RM20 and didnt even have enough shirts for some people. thankfully i got there to collect my shirt early, some people actually had to forgo theirs cos there just werent any left.

the registration booth.

met up with rachel and her friend soon after, and they had to get their shirts in a larger size than usual cos there werent any more S-sized shirts.

and ohemgee guess who i bumped into??

maxon tee jiaying my form3 classmate! :D
gosh i look like some japanese grandmother in the pic above haha. some people call it samurai hairstyle too. :)

the run was 6km, which would have been no problem if it had been on even terrain. but it  was uphill downhill, downhill uphill all the way!

finished it in around 40mins?

rachel hadnt reached yet, so i was sitting at the finish line waiting for her when i saw...

the girl i used to share snacks and chat with about shitloads of stuff during RBS! :D

it was nice that the building was so strongly airconditioned and well ventilated cos everyone cooled down really fast after the run. or else it wouldve been really hot and stinky X(

was damn crowded after the run, so we found solace at the end of a hallway

dont get me wrong, i loved running, and was really happy to see rachel and erin again.

but i was disappointed to cos the event didnt live up to what it was selling. kinda expected more, it being organised by taylors college. in return for my parting with my RM20, all i got was a shirt and a goody bag, which didnt even have THAT much stuff in it. and despite being one of the top 20 finishers, i didnt even get a certificate of honourable mention or whatever! the one i got was a with a fill in your own name in the blank.

i mean, in previous marathons i've joined, i've only just paid like rm5? to get like double the amount of stuff, plus a certificate with my name and finishing time printed on.

with erin and rachel! and erin's friend, amanda?

damn missed the shuttle bus to get back to taylors subang, and was feeling really frustrated, hopeless, and this close to tearing up. no other public transport, expect for a cab, which would like cost a total bomb. i mean, how the hell was i gonna get back to subang?

when this girl called hillary ang offered to help me out. rode in her grandfathers merc back to her huge house, where her family was so warm and accomodating. i kept apologizing for the inconvenience, but they said not to worry and that it was no trouble at all.

they dropped me off at subang parade, and kept enquiring if i would be ok waiting alone, where my family was at the moment, how i was gonna get home from subang parade, etc.
her mum even wanted to give me some money in case of anything!

me, some random girl who suddenly imposed herself on them and prolly screwed up all their plans for the day, whom they'd known for a space of maybe an hour? and it really touched me, so much that complete strangers could be so kind to someone they didnt even know the last name of.

its occasions like these that prove to me, again and again, that there is still so much beauty, so much kindness beneath the ever-growing negative facade of society, and for that, i am so grateful to have been one on the receiving end of a random good turn from people i've never even met.

ok enough of grandmother story saliva dry already.

signing off now. :)

after delaying this post for so long, im finally blogging about my first time eating at chili's! lol orang kampung  much.

so last wednesday i went to empire to meet up with crystal and weiwen for dinner at the said venue.

oei and let me remind you guys this is on the SAME DAY as when i went out with ben and arief so its not like i wear the same dress all the time kay.

crystal and weiwen only get off from work at 6-ish, so i killed time exploring empire a little more while waiting for them.

there was this HUGE japanese food fair promo thingy with lots of cute food.

sho kewt!! pikachu and power rangers curry rice ftw! :D

and best of all, the FREE SAMPLES!!
*jumps for joy*

haha :D

OMG friggin whole container FILLED with hello panda and pocky, only my favourite japanese snacks in the whole entire universe.

the japanese SO should come up with more awesome products like their strawberry/chocolate/milk filled mouthfuls of happiness, instead of bonsai plants, superjunior and wondergirls.

"nobody nobody but you" is so annoyingly repetitive and sung in such a high-pitched, breathy, little girly voice! gawd just shaddup.

and whats with superjuniors "sorry sorry sorry sorry"
it irks me that people around me who like that song sing only those four words cos they dont know how the rest of the song goes.

so where was i. ah yes. food.

crystal and weiwen came soon after, and we proceeded to chili's for our eats!

cannot finish! not really worth the 11bucks we paid, cos we only refilled it once. i think the best situation to eat this is if you had a group of more than 5pax.

the waiters at chili's empire are another incompetent bunch!

we asked for more sauce and he kept on asking us what we wanted!
finally he gave up and just gave us this cheesy sauce.

i thought it was so nice of him, but turned out it cost 9bucks, and we were never even informed =.=

monterey chicken. rm29 and not worth it. surprisingly small for something of chili's standards.

buffalo wings. rm18. so-so lah. i still say not worth the price.

people tell me my blog should be a flog 'food blog' instead cos its always flooded of pics of the food i eat. :)

candid moment of crystal and i :)

walked around after that to work off some of that heavy meal.
seremban? kuantan? kelantan? johor? :)
